The following photographs were all taken in September, 1997, during a successful evening of catching murrelets in Puget Sound.

Diane Evans, Wildlife Biologist from the Pacific NW Research Station of the U.S. Forest Service collects data on this bird's weight.


This murrelet is now carrying a radio telemetry tag allowing us to track its movement.


The following photograph was taken during the next two weeks while we recorded daily movement patterns of tagged murrelets.

The man standing in the bow is holding a directional antennae, used to locate our tragged murrelets.
