SEI Process: Scientific Reviews

• Everglades Restoration. SEI is convening an avian/ecosystem review at the request of USFWS and the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force. Dates August 13-15 2007. Live webcast available. Go here for more information. Upcoming: report due November 2007; Task Force presentation in December 2007.

  • The Pallid Sturgeon Assessment Team: Independent Science Review of the Pallid Sturgeon Assessment Program. The review process has been completed and the final report is now available.
  • The Independent Science Review of the Habitat Assessment and Monitoring Program Study Plan is now available here.
• Maine Atlantic Salmon, Scientific panel report completed. Link coming.

Some examples of recent projects and events relevant to current issues or that have been updated:

• First SEI Everglades Avian Summit. Go here for an overview of the project. Panel findings: click here for a pdf copy of the report.
• Dr. Deborah Brosnan provided testimony to the House Committee on Transportation on the role of peer review in environmental decisions.
• The Columbia River Channel Deepening Project. SEI facilitated independent scientific review of the project. Details, transcripts available.
• Telluride Colorado. At a press conference in Telluride, Colorado, SEI released the final scientific report San Miguel Headwaters-Valley Floor: Scientific Analysis, Synthesis and Recommendations.
