					<description>Toidujäätmete, sh toidu raiskamise ehk toidukao teema on oluliseks osaks nii kliimamuutustega kui ka ressursside säästva kasutusega seotud debatis. Igal aastal tekib Euroopa Liidus hinnanguliselt ligi 100 miljonit tonni toidujäätmeid. Peale otsese ressursside raiskamise ja negatiivse keskkonnamõju tekitamise kaasnevad toidu raiskamisega ka rahalised kulud. Seetõttu on toidujäätmete vältimine ja vähendamine saanud oluliseks osaks ka riikide majandus- ja keskkonna(kliima)poliitika kujundamisel.</description>
