The Communications Assistant will primarily support our Senior Communications Officer working with climate research communication and engagement. They will support delivery of communication strategies for different projects within the portfolio and deliver on action plans, translating into outputs such as: writing news stories and blogs about research results and upcoming climate policy decisions, social media posting, press releases, managing website and other digital development, videos with project stakeholders and planning and executing events.
Who you are
We are looking for a person with hands-on experience of communication work such as writing for the web including social media, text, photo and video editing as well as organizing workshops and events. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite is required. As a person you are highly structured, a team player and possess a natural ability to initiate and drive tasks and ideas forward. Experience in the areas of climate, environment or development is a plus. You enjoy transforming scientific information into impactful and simple messages.
Required qualifications and experience
- A degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or other relevant field
- At least one year of communications experience with a broad knowledge of communication channels, and
- Good command of both Swedish and English and able to produce content and present in both languages.
