Project

Vulnerability to Climate Change in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

SEI is conducting a vulnerability assessment of coastal zones, water resources, and dry-land ecosystems in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Inactive project

2008

Results are being introduced into policy discussions for adaptive management strategies. The figure on the right shows a base projection calculated by SEI of what 3m sea level rise will imply for Abu Dhabi. This could occur as soon as 2050 depending on glacial melt forecasts.
