This session, “Rethinking animals in agriculture: welfare, rights and the future of food” unites experts in animal welfare science, animal ethics, moral philosophy and One Health to explore what the future of food might look like, namely for farmed animals. That may mean a more compassionate approach to animal agriculture, or a future in which animals are no longer eaten at all.
This event also marks the publication of TABLE’s new explainer, “Animal ethics and animal welfare in food systems,” exploring animal welfare science and philosophy.
