Annika Varnäs worked at SEI Stockholm until February 2016. She was a Research Fellow with focus on sustainable consumption and production.

Annika was involved in a number of projects focusing on policies to enhance sustainable consumption and production as well as analytical tools to evaluate the environmental impact from consumption and production.

One of her main areas of interest concerns how businesses can shift to more sustainable practices. Her work was to a great extent linked to the 3C – SEI research programme, where SEI partners with the business leaders’ initiative 3C – Combat Climate Change.

Annika was co-managing the 3C – SEI programme together with the 3C coordinator and was also involved in the first research project within the programme, focusing on policies to spur the development and deployment of new technologies.
