Lena Meintrup joined SEI in August 2017. Lena is a Research Fellow at SEI Headquarters and Product Development Manager of the Transparency for Sustainable Economies platform, Trase.
Lena holds a cross-cutting role within the Trase team, supporting the development of the platform by managing and monitoring its implementation by the project team, partners, and sub-contractors. She is also responsible for supporting the strategic development of Trase, engaging with partner organizations, and representing the platform externally. Her areas of interest include land use change, sustainable consumption and production, and behavior change.
Before joining SEI, Lena worked in the forests program at CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, to address commodity-driven deforestation risk in corporate supply chains. She led the technical development of CDP’s forests program, engaged with stakeholders across the public and private sector in various capacities, and led the work of the forests program in Europe for several years. Lena also has previous experience working in the private sector.
Lena holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science (M.Sc. Environment and Development, 2012) and James Madison College at Michigan State University (B.A. Comparative Cultures and Politics, 2010).
