Sofia joined SEI Asia in August 2019 as a Research Associate with the Policy Analysis Unit. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Chulalongkorn University, Department of Environment, Development, and Sustainability (joint SEI-CU program). Her research focuses on how young generations can participate in planning resilient peri-urban or ‘rurban’ food systems.
Sofia graduated in June 2019 from the Erasmus Mundus Masters programme in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management (MESPOM). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Trento University, with a specific focus on geopolitics and political sociology thanks to an Erasmus+ study at the Institut Libre d’Étude des Relations Internationales (ILERI) in Paris.
Previously, Sofia worked at WWF Cities in Stockholm and as a graduate researcher at the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest on the Greek island of Lesvos.
