Abstract: “This purports to provide some new evidence on the relationship between the level of income and other social factors on some measures of environmental quality. Using details from a generalised input-output model for the UK in an econometric panel data approach we provide precise information and an in-depth understanding of the impact of significant social factors and consumer behaviour on CO2 emissions.
