World Water Day 2026

The World Water Day 2026 celebration under the theme “Water and Gender”, hosted by the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR), will take place on 23 March 2026. SEI’s Senior Research Fellow Thanapon Piman will contribute to the technical presentation session on “Policy Tools & Salinity Adaptation Pathways Strategic resilience”.

In commemoration of the United Nations’ annual World Water Day, the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR) will host the World Water Day 2026 celebration under the theme “Water and Gender,” with the Prime Minister presiding over the ceremony as a chairperson. The event aims to raise awareness of water resources management and gender equality, promote inclusive participation across all sectors, and strengthen sustainable and climate-resilient water resources management to ensure long-term water security.

With the main theme “Climate Adaptation and Water Governance”, SEI’s Senior Research Fellow Thanapon Piman will contribute to the technical presentation session on “Policy Tools & Salinity Adaptation Pathways Strategic resilience”.
