Hein Htet Soe

Hein Htet Soe was a Project Assistant at SEI Asia April 2021 to March 2025. Hein Htet focused mainly on “Catchment Management to Conserve the Upper Chindwin River Basin” project in Hkamti township, Sagaing region of Myanmar. He assisted the project coordinator and the project team in field data collection, assessment survey, coordination with local partners and representatives of project villages, capacity building training, translation, data collection, data entry and data analysis. He also supported the activities for wetland management such as replantation, more public awareness, encouraging to apply sustainable ways, long-term plan for conservation and restoration. 

Hein Htet also participated in the Arsenic Contamination in Rice in Delta. The project area was in Ayeyarwady region in Myanmar. He assisted in coordination with the farmers to get the rice samples and soil samples for analysis. He also assisted in logistical arrangement to be sent and analyzed at the laboratory of Cranfield University, UK.
