Prior to working for SEI, Monique spent two years researching multiple-use water services (MUS) in Nepal and Maharashtra, India, including use of appropriate water control technologies, linkage of smallholders to markets, and use of the Learning Alliance approach for up-scaling at regional, national, and international levels.
In graduate school she researched point of use water filtration and wheat production in rural Maharashtra and worked on capacity building with a Native American food systems organization.
