Our work with Agenda 2030 and the SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reflect a global consensus that economic, social and environmental aspects of development are inextricably linked and mutually dependent. SEI offers scientific support to the conceptualization, implementation and follow-up of the goals.

Our work on the SDGs seek to develop innovative methods and tools that can be used to enhance capacity within governments and with other actors to adopt systems thinking on the SDGs, and to see this thinking reflected in decision-making. Operationalizing policy coherence for sustainable development is another objective of ours. We work to enhance knowledge-sharing across government and civil society actors, between as well as within countries by providing informal spaces for knowledge exchange, capacity and awareness building.
