Anjali is a Research Communications Officer at SEI York.
She supports the Communications Specialists and Manager with the team’s day-to-day activities. She writes for both the SEI and University of York websites, produces content for the SEI social media channels and assembles SEI York’s internal and external newsletters. She also provides ad hoc support on specific project work, including graphic design, and curates visual assets for the centre.
Anjali joined SEI York in 2023 as a Communications Assistant, bringing a wide variety of professional experience. Since graduating with her degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York, she has been an actor and agent, and worked in experiential marketing and field sales, academic publishing marketing, as well as enjoying a brief spell as a researcher on CBBC hit show, Horrible Histories (Series 9).
Anjali completed her PhD at the University of York in 2018-23, alongside undergraduate teaching. She is currently working on the resulting book project, “Anthropocentrism, Attentiveness and Nonhumanity in Early Modern English Literature and Culture”, under contract with Routledge.
