Olivia Brabbs
Anjali is a Research Communications Officer at SEI York. She supports the Communications Specialists and Manager with the team’s day-to-day activities. She produces content of all kinds, including writing, graphic design and video. She sits on SEI’s Global Design Team. Anjali has two Masters-level qualifications in science communication from the University of the West of England: Online and Media Writing, and Creative Science Communication and Public Engagement.
Anjali completed her PhD at the University of York in 2018-23, alongside undergraduate teaching – she is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her book project, “Anthropocentrism, Attentiveness and Nonhumanity in Early Modern English Literature and Culture”, is under contract with Routledge, due to publish in 2027.
Anjali joined SEI York in 2023 as a Communications Assistant, bringing a wide variety of professional experience to the role. Since graduating with her degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York, she has been an actor and agent, and has worked in experiential marketing and field sales, academic publishing marketing, as well as enjoying a brief spell as a researcher on CBBC hit show, Horrible Histories (Series 9).
