Dhyey joined SEI Asia as a Research Associate in April 2019.
He has experience in Remote Sensing and GIS for scientific analysis and research, in addition to skills in algorithm and geospatial software development. He is an experienced software developer with knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, IDL and Google Earth Engine in various domains such as risks and disaster, agriculture and marine.
Prior to joining SEI, Dhyey worked as a Consultant at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), Colombo, Sri Lanka in water risks and the disaster team on droughts and floods. He has also served as Senior Software Developer at Webonise Lab Pvt. Ltd, mainly on UAV remote sensing algorithm development, and Senior Research Fellow at the Space Applications Center (SAC) – Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on predictive modeling of marine living environment. His research interests include using machine learning for extracting information from satellite data, cloud computing based geospatial solutions and UAV remote sensing.
Dhyey holds a Masters degree in Geomatics from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India and a Bachelors in Geography from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.
