Jung-Ching Kan

Jung-ching Kan is a Research Associate at SEI Headquarters, Water, Coasts and Ocean Team. She is currently working on using machine learning models to predict hydro-climatic hazards (drought, heatwave, and flood) within the CrisAct project.

Jung-ching holds a B.Sc in water and wastewater engineering from Southeast university in China, and M.Sc in environmental engineering and sustainable infrastructure from KTH Sweden. During her master thesis project, she researched and developed new methods and models with remote sensing data for predicting agricultural drought in Sweden. Her research interest is the interdisciplinary fields of data science innovations in the environmental science domain.
