Mia Shu

Mia is a Graphic Designer at SEI Headquarters, working to evolve and reimagine the way SEI communicates. She is responsible for the design and implementation of visual communication at SEI and works on projects including Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) and Trase.

She has more than 6 years of experience, working within the intersection of design, communication and sustainability. Prior to joining SEI, Mia worked in the education team in a non-profit organization in Hong Kong for 4 years. Her worked focused on educating sustainability and circularity concepts to different stakeholders in the fashion industry.

She holds a BSc in Environmental Management and Technology from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and an MSc in Design from Linköping University. Her MSc research thesis set out to explore the causes of the weak relation to nature and identify potential design interventions to enable the recuperation of nature as part of our identity.

Her interdisciplinary background enables her to bring creative ideas to the table but also a different lens towards visually communicating complex topics. She is passionate about designing interdisciplinary engagements that facilitate the transition towards a livable and flourishing future.
