Kerli Kant Hvass joined SEI Tallinn in 2018 as the initiator and project expert of the Nordic-Baltic collaboration project “Towards Nordic-Baltic circular textile system: an analysis of post-consumer textiles in the Baltic countries, recommendations for policy intervention and sector development”.
In addition to working for SEI Tallinn, Kerli is a circular economy advisor at ReUse Center (EST) and a post doc researcher at Copenhagen Business School at The Department of Management, Society and Communication. She also works internationally as a freelance advisor where she advises companies, public authorities, NGO’s, start-ups and other initiatives on broad issues of circular economy, business model innovation and sustainability. Previously, Kerli has worked as an advisor in eco-innovation at the Estonian Ministry of Environment in connection with the Estonia’s EU Presidency and developed sustainability and circular economy at BESTSELLER, which is one of the leading fashion corporations in Northern Europe.
Kerli’s academic background is in sustainability management, social entrepreneurship, sustainable consumption and production, business model innovation for sustainability and circular economy, sustainability in fashion and textiles, circular supply chains, multi-stakeholder and cross-sector collaboration for sustainability and circular economy.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Aalborg University (DK) and an industrial PhD from Copenhagen Business School (DK). She has been a visiting scholar at San Francisco State University in California, USA.
