Mahboubeh Rahmati Abkenar is a Research Fellow at SEI Headquarters – Cities, Communities and Consumption Team – Societies, Climate and Policy Support Division.
Previously, Mahboubeh worked as a researcher at Linnaeus University. She worked on carbon isotopic ratios and modeling of carbon cycles. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Linnaeus University. She has worked on dynamic modeling of biogeochemical processes in sediments, focusing on predicting biogenic methane production. Before that, she was a lecturer at the University of Science and Culture, Iran.
She holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University, Iran. Her academic research has focused on the effect of nanoparticles on gas hydrates and gas mixture separation.
