Mathilda works as a Research Associate at SEI Headquarters – Societal Transitions Unit.
She supports projects on disaster risk reduction, including Builders, HydroHazards, and Unchain. Her area of interest lies in stakeholder engagement and participatory methods focused on disaster risk reduction and resilience, in both a Swedish and international setting.
She holds a M.Sc. in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation from Lund University and a B.Sc. in Development Studies from Lund University. For her master thesis, Mathilda developed three principles outlining methods applicable when evaluating co-produced climate services. In addition to her studies, Mathilda has also worked as a researcher with Humanity and Inclusion in Laos, investigating how rural households were coping and adapting to explosive remnants from the Second Indochina war.
