Selma Guyon

Junior Expert (Climate Systems and Energy Policy Unit)

Selma Guyon joined SEI Tallinn in February 2025 as a Junior Expert for the Climate Systems and Energy Policy Unit, after being an intern in the autumn of 2024.

Her interests include climate adaptation, energy efficiency and sufficiency initiatives, as well as EU climate and energy policies. Selma believes that the key to a successful green transition lies in ambitious structural policies based on high-quality research.

Before joining SEI Tallinn, she worked as a policy and project officer in a network of European cities, where she participated in projects related to the decarbonization of heating and cooling systems. She has also gained experience in advocacy and policy strategy, collaborating with various environmental organisations to put energy sufficiency on the EU agenda.

Selma holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po Lille. During her studies, she completed an exchange semester in Tallinn University.

She speaks fluently French and English, and has a B1 proficiency in Estonian.
