Sveva Lazzati is a Research Associate at SEI Headquarters in the Resources, Rights and Development Division. She is currently working on projects related to water security, climate resilience and sustainable development.
Previously, Sveva served as an Intern and Project Consultant with the Rights and Equity team, where she researched rights-based approaches to sustainable development as part of the GESEP programme and supported projects on sanitation and AI.
Before joining SEI, she conducted field research in southern Nepal for her thesis, which analysed transformative adaptation and inclusive governance practices. She also gained experience as a research intern at the Global Center on Adaptation and the University of Amsterdam.
Sveva has an interdisciplinary social sciences background and holds a Research-MSc in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam. Her interests include the social and spatial implications of urban development and exploring innovative approaches to foster equitable transitions.
