Vivian Ribeiro is a data scientist for the Trase platform at SEI Headquarters.

Vivian’s previous research focused on the impacts of the implementation of the Brazilian forest code, the dynamics of land cover and use, and also the social and economic opportunities of intelligent management of land in Brazil, with special attention to the Amazon and Cerrado biomes. She has worked in several multi-institutional initiatives engaged to minimize the impact of agricultural development on the natural environment and society.

She has previous experience in data modeling of big datasets, with a strong background in simulations for spatial prioritization.

Vivian holds a biology degree from the Federal University of Goias (2012), and MSc (2014), and Ph.D. (2018) in Ecology from the University of Brasilia, Brazil.
