One-SEI program

NDCs+

This program helps countries design data-driven, inclusive climate strategies that build coherence across national climate commitments and development plans to minimize tradeoffs and enhance benefits.

Active project

2025–2026

Through its work on NDCs+, SEI strengthens countries’ national capacity to develop next-generation Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) alongside Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies (LT-LEDS), and related plans, integrating national goals that bring together mitigation, adaptation, finance, loss and damage, just transitions, air pollution, and carbon market mechanisms under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Helping countries design and implement ambitious, equitable, and actionable climate strategies is central to SEI’s mission to advance global climate action and sustainable development.

Combining technical analysis, systems modelling, policy engagement and capacity building, SEI supports governments in producing coherent, evidence-based commitments that are aligned with national priorities and the Paris Agreement. With a strong proven track record in supporting climate action and recognized thought leadership across these diverse climate domains, SEI’s integrated approach enables countries to pursue more ambitious and comprehensive climate action, bridge climate and development goals, and accelerate progress towards global targets.
