Architesh Panda (Archi) joined SEI Asia in November 2025 as Research Fellow November – Bankable Climate Adaptation Solutions and Finance Mechanisms at the Local Scale. He will work closely with Corrado as part of the Centre for Finance for Sustainability team. In this role, Archi will lead research, development, and deployment of bankable climate adaptation solutions and their corresponding financing mechanisms at the community level across the Asia-Pacific region.
Before joining SEI Asia, Archi worked with several international organizations, including the Wyss Academy for Nature (University of Bern), the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative (MCII) at UNU-EHS, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). His 13 years of experience span applied research and policy engagement on climate change adaptation, disaster risk finance, agricultural insurance, and sustainable development in Asia and Europe.
Archi holds a PhD in Environmental Economics, with a focus on climate change and agriculture. He has authored peer-reviewed publications, working papers, and policy reports on climate risk insurance, uninsurability, and adaptation finance.
