The US National Academies of the Sciences, Engineering and Medicine is hosting its first public roundtable on climate and macroeconomics, featuring SEI US Equitable Transitions Program Director Eric Kemp-Benedict as a featured speaker.
Kemp-Benedict was selected Fall 2022 to serve on the Roundtable on Macroeconomics and Climate-related Risks and Opportunities under the direction of the White House Council of Economic Advisors. The 23 January event, hosted in a hybrid in-person and online format, will include several discussions on how climate policy pathways can affect socioeconomic outcomes in the US.
Kemp-Benedict will speak on an expert panel offering a primer on macroeconomics. That panel’s session will take place from 1–2:20 p.m. EST.
No registration necessary. Closed captioning will be provided. The conversation will include questions from the audience and will be recorded and available to view on the project page after the event.
