About the session

Unexpected and creative paths to Ecological Citizenship

Join us for a fast-paced showcase of inventive, collaborative practice that makes Ecological Citizenship tangible. Hosted by Sarah West, who leads multiple citizen science research projects at SEI York, together with Emily Boxall, Ecological Citizen(s) Network+ manager and associate lecturer at the Royal College of Art, the session draws on the Ecological Citizen(s) project.

What have you always wanted to try but never had the chance? This session will spotlight atypical, highly creative methods of collaborative communication, including demonstrations, mini-experiments and arts-based practices, to show how communities can co-create, test and adapt new formats for engagement. Expect practical ideas you can lift and use to turn interest into involvement and concern into collective action.
