Anastasia Maga

Anastasia Maga is a Research Fellow with SEI Asia. She joined SEI in November 2023.

Anastasia Maga is an accomplished researcher in economics and statistics; she graduated with a doctoral degree in political studies in 2008 and in Business Administration (Finance) in 2025. Her interests include investigating the shadow economy, illicit financial flows (IFFs), general finance for sustainability and development, tourism, innovation, regional growth, and corporate finance. She has over 60 publications in various journals and conferences, a few monographs, and working papers. She has extensive experience in international project management and has conducted various research and academic work at different levels since 2004.
