Ann Thuo is communications officer for SEI Africa.
Ann has worked extensively at several regional and international non-profits in sub-Saharan Africa, where she delivered communications support to health, agricultural and humanitarian programmes. Before joining SEI, Ann was an independent consultant working with both private-sector and public-sector organisations where she provided strategic communications solutions as well as training, media engagement and writing services. She started at SEI in August 2018.
Ann holds an MSc in Information Management from Robert Gordon University in Scotland. Prior to that, she received an MA in Development Communication from Daystar University, Kenya, and a BSc in Nutrition and Family Studies from Kenyatta University. Her MSc dissertation was based on a study on agricultural information mechanisms and their effects on the needs of smallholder women farmers in Kenya’s rural areas.
