Anna Ioannou is a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer at SEI Headquarters since August 2019. Developing and implementing approaches and tools for monitoring, evaluation and learning for the Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative, an open and inclusive network that supports and promotes multisector dialogue and action around sustainable agriculture for food security, improving nutrition and the eradication of hunger. She is also working with wider SEI project support, advising the BiH ESAP 2030+ project and coordinating the Swedish Development Research Network (SweDev).
Before joining SEI, Anna has worked with multisectoral partnerships in different contexts and scales, coordinating projects focusing on sustainable agriculture and food security in Sweden, India and Argentina. She has also worked with monitoring, evaluation and learning at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and with Swedish local governments.
Anna holds a M.Sc. in rural development and natural resource management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Her M.Sc thesis focus on the formal and informal structures within Bolivian horticulture markets in Argentina, with special attention to the roles of Bolivian women. Prior to this Anna received a B.Sc. in political science and economics from Uppsala University.
