Prior to joining SEI part time in 2007, Anton consulted to South Africa’s land reform programme, was involved in the formulation of that countries water act, land degradation policy and local economic development programme.

His other research has examined sustainable development implications arising from the EU’s liberalisation of the global sugar trade regime, the rise of the global bioethanol industry, community based natural resource management programmes and UN’s the emissions trading markets.

Since joining SEI, Anton has been involved in the formulation of climate change adaptation strategies for the FAO and The Rockefeller Foundation.
