Jan Jaap Meijer worked at SEI Stockholm as a Research Associate from September 2015 until October 2016.

In the RISC-KIT (Resilience-Increasing Strategies for Coasts – Toolkit) project Japp was responsible for applying physical and probability models to the area around Kristianstad, Sweden. In this case study is investigated where potential risks of flooding are located along the coast.
