Maarja Kalmet

Maarja Kalmet is currently on parental leave.

Maarja Kalmet is the Office Manager and HR Coordinator at SEI Tallinn, supporting the team in administrative and human resource functions since joining in January 2025.

She holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from TalTech (MA, 2021) and an additional master’s degree in Humanities from Tallinn University (MA, 2014). With extensive experience in human resources management across both the public and private sectors, she has developed a strong foundation in contemporary HR strategies, best practices, and people management. Beyond her professional role, Maarja is dedicated to supporting and strengthening the SEI Tallinn team, ensuring efficient HR operations and a positive work environment.

Maarja is particularly committed to sustainable human resource management (GHRM), integrating HR practices with environmentally responsible principles. In spring 2022, she co-founded a BPW-Estonia I EENA Green Club aimed at promoting environmental awareness among female entrepreneurs and community leaders, fostering sustainable business and lifestyle practices. Alongside her colleagues at SEI Tallinn, she continuously enhances her knowledge of environmental sustainability, ensuring that her work aligns with the organization’s mission and values.

She is an active member of Eesti HR Selts and Estonian HR Association PARE, continuously expanding her expertise and staying informed on emerging trends and challenges in modern HR management.
