Niamh French

Niamh French is a Data Product Manager at the SEI Headquarters, working with the Trase team within the Global Agendas, Climate and Systems Division. She joined the Trase team in 2025. 

Her work focuses on mapping global agricultural commodity supply chains and assessing their environmental and social impacts. She specializes in data science, analytical methods, and the development of data-driven tools and products.

Before joining SEI, Niamh served as the Principal Data Scientist at a Swiss start-up offering environmental modelling solutions to renewable energy companies. There, she applied satellite imagery, weather models, and machine learning across research and development, product strategy, data engineering, and pre-sales support. Earlier in her career, she also worked in operations within the public water supply sector.

Niamh holds an MSc in Spatio-temporal Analytics and Big Data Mining from University College London (2021), and a BSc in Geology from Imperial College London (2019).
