Númi Östlund

Númi Östlund is a Senior Fellow at SEI Headquarters within the Development Policy and Finance Team/Resources, Rights and Development Division. His work centers on the governance, evaluation and effectiveness of sustainable, development, and climate finance. At SEI, Númi is a contributor to the Viable Cities innovation programme, where he leads processes related to climate finance for climate-neutral and smart cities. 

Before joining SEI, Númi was a Programme Manager at the Expert Group for Aid Studies (EBA), serving as the focal point for development finance, climate and governance. He has also served as a Senior Performance Auditor at the Swedish National Audit Office (Riksrevisionen), where he led evaluations of Swedish aid governance, financial instrument use, and more. His background includes founding a FinTech venture for financial risk management and working with green bond impact reporting platforms.

Númi holds an MSc in Political Science and Development and BAs in Philosophy and Political Science, all from Stockholm University.
