Oliver Taherzadeh

Former employee

Oliver worked at SEI York during 2015-2016. He was Project Coordinator of the Sustainable Consumption & Production (SCP) Group.

He was involved in coordinating SEI’s research within the Measure What Matters Project, supporting the development of their Input-Ouput Trade Analysis (IOTA) Model and policy analysis around the implementation and monitoring of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in national government and business contexts.

During his time at university Oliver worked as a research intern at SEI within the SCP group. Here he assisted in the development of impact appraisal and action planning tools for SMEs and universities designed to embed responsible practice and promote sustainable behaviour change within public and private sector settings as part of the NETpositive Initiative.

Oliver also examined the alignment of green economy indicators between corporate, national and international monitoring and reporting frameworks as part of the Measure What Matters project.

In January 2015 Oliver worked as Project Coordinator for the Food Resilience for All (FoRA) Research Group, assisting in the development of large collaborative research proposals around food sovereignty, supply chain sustainability and consumer education.

Oliver’s research involved risk impact assessment of international food supply chains, developing tools which promote sustainability at business and individual-scales and metrics for sustainable development. He interests also included developing practical frameworks which seek to bridge dialogue, harmonise reporting and catalyse action on the sustainable development agenda between supply-chain actors, policy-makers and marginalised groups ahead of the UN SDGs.
