Sandun Randombage
Sandun Randombage is a Research Associate at SEI HQ – Economics of Sustainability Transitions team, Societies, Climate and Policy Support division. He works on the Net Zero Cities and C-sink projects analysing financial flows to map public and private finance opportunities for climate-neutral cities evaluating business models of carbon removal technologies.
Prior to joining SEI, he worked as a lead executive at one of Sri Lanka’s largest state banks in. There, he led a team in banking operations, directly handling investment, corporate finance, credit management, liquidity management and business strategies and development. He also has a strong background in financial reporting, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
Sandun holds a MSc in Finance from University of Umeå in Sweden, a MSc in Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka. His master’s thesis examined the relationship between ESG rating and risk adjusted return of fintech industry.
