Taneesha Mohan is a social scientist with research interests in development practices, political economy, labour, gender and migration.
Taneesha is a post-doctoral research associate at SEI, and is part of the research team working on a GCRF project – Equitable Resilience in Local Instructions. The project focuses on the ways in which resilience practice is secured through local institutions. The research is based in Bangladesh, to address and understand the issues of equity in resilience practice.
Prior to joining SEI, Taneesha completed her PhD at the London School of Economic and Political Science from the Department of Geography and Environment. Her PhD focused on regimes of tied labour relations (with a focus on female agricultural labour) as an outcome of agrarian capitalism in India.
