Wyn Ellis

Wyn Ellis is an SEI Affiliated Researcher at SEI Asia.

Wyn is Executive Director of the Sustainable Rice Platform, a multi-stakeholder initiative dedicated to transformation of the global rice sector through market-led and development-driven scaling partnerships. Based in Asia for the past 40 years, he has contributed in diverse roles working with bilateral and multilateral development partners, governments, academia, the private sector and NGOs both in Asia and Africa. His areas of expertise include agronomy, agro-innovation, organic and sustainable food systems, pest management and climate action.

With a Ph.D. from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand and M.As from Oxford and Reading Universities in UK, he has published extensively and served on the Editorial Board of several international journals.
