SEI is working closely with EcoEquity (a research institute focused on equity and climate) in the development of a framework for reconciling the twin crises of climate and development.
Funded by MISTRA, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research, the Greenhouse Development Rights framework has attracted the attention of development and environment NGOs, and Southern negotiators.
The Greenhouse Development Rights framework is designed to support a global emergency climate mobilization while, at the same time, preserving the rights of all people to reach a dignified level of sustainable human development free of the privations of poverty.
