The project aims to upgrade the Ethiopian Metereological Institute (EMI) Maproom to a modern, Python-based system that is more flexible, user-friendly, and sustainable, while expanding its functionality to better support flood and water resources management in the Awash, Rift Valley, and Omo basins. Key elements include migrating from Ingrid to Python, installing on EMI-hosted servers, improving the user interface design, integrating new climate products, and providing comprehensive capacity building for EMI staff and users.
Past event / SEI will contribute to the sessions on climate delivery, adaptation finance and climate communications during Climate Weeks 2026 in Yeosu, Korea.
