Sustainable cities: lessons from a Swedish community-level initiative

Hållbara Hökarängen (Sustainable Hökarängen) was a community-level project in the Swedish capital that explored ways to promote more sustainable lifestyle choices among urban residents.

Using an action-research approach and an eclectic communication strategy, Sustainable Hökarängen trialled and developed different ways to engage residents, businesses and other local stakeholders, and to build momentum and structures for lasting positive change.
