Social learning about climate adaptation: some observations from the Stockholm region

Annika E. Nilsson and Åsa Gerger Swartling provide some preliminary results from the Mistra-SWECIA Stockholm Region case study.

Their key conclusion is that there is a large variety of relevant actors both with and without formal responsibilities and that many municipal actors see a need for regional coordination of climate adaptation efforts in the region. They also find that focus groups increase stakeholder awareness about both the need for adaptation and the complexity of the challenge.
