Seminar and water pub to mark UN World Toilet Day

part of World Toilet Day 2025

Welcome to a hybrid seminar to mark the UN World Toilet Day 2025. The event is organised by Föreningen Vatten, IWA Sweden and Toilet Without Borders, and hosted by SEI. The seminar will mainly be in Swedish.

19 November 2025 at 17:00 CET

ending at 18:30 CET

Key messages of the event:

  • We will always need toilets. No matter what the future holds, we will always depend on sanitation to protect us from disease and keep our environment clean.
  • Toilets are under pressure. Increased demand, climate change, aging infrastructure and low investment are threatening our human right to sanitation.
  • We need future-proof toilets. We must immediately invest in sanitation that is ready for the future – resilient to climate change and accessible to everyone, everywhere, always.
