Citizen science is often talked about, but not always clearly understood. In this talk, Sarah unpacked what citizen science really is (and what it isn’t), and explored how citizen science approaches can be used to deepen our understanding of both natural and built environments. Drawing on real‑world examples, Sarah showed how involving communities in research can lead to more inclusive, impactful environmental insights.

CHILI is a project which aims to ensure that we support and improve children’s health and education as school and nursery buildings are adapted for energy efficiency. This is the third in a series of CHILI seminars which bring together experts to explore children’s learning environments and their health.
