The increasingly complex and systemic nature of risk demands more integrated and holistic approaches to risk reduction, adaptation and resilience in policy and practice. The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Regional Office for Asia & the Pacific and the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) are working together to assess policy coherence in the realms of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) in Asia and the Pacific. The analysis aims to enhance understanding of coherence and inform future policy planning and implementation support, towards more comprehensive and coherent DRR and CCA approaches across the region.

To validate preliminary findings and gather insights for policy recommendations, UNDRR and SEI are co-hosting an invite-only stakeholder consultation workshop on Thursday 1 July 2021 from 10:00–11:30 (ICT).
