At the Participatory Children & Youth Workshop on 22 May 2022, SEI Asia Research Fellow Michael Boyland will be one of the speakers in the panel on “Youth as Agents of Change in Disaster Risk Reduction: A Launch of the Youth Resilience Lab”. The event takes place ahead of the Seventh Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction to be held from 23–28 May 2022 in Bali, Indonesia.

This workshop aims to discuss on Strategies of making disaster risk reduction efforts sustainable. The discussion will centre on the Seventh Session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction 2022’s main themes, including financing, Covid-19 recovery, SDG and climate action and inclusivity (leaving no one behind).
