As part of the 12th Asia-Pacific Futures Network (APFN) Conference in Bangkok, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) invites participants to The Future is Care: Visioning Inclusive and Resilient Care Systems in Asia and the Pacific.

This interactive session will explore how demographic change, climate change, urbanization, digitalization, persistent inequalities and social norms may reshape care systems across Asia and the Pacific. It will present key findings from ESCAP’s forthcoming publication on the future of care and bring together diverse perspectives to envision inclusive and resilient care systems for 2040.

Cynthia McDougall, PhD, Senior Research Fellow and Research Director at SEI Asia, will contribute as a panellist. Her contribution will focus on the interconnections between climate change, care work and futures.
