Ben is an SEI Associate with SEI Oxford. Ben has worked with the team since 2007. His work focuses on knowledge management for adaptation, and capacity-building in the use of climate information to support adaptation. Ben is closely involved in the continued development of weADAPT, and currently edits the urban adaptation theme.
Ben’s recent work includes visualising climate adaptation networks through the CAMA project, the development and testing of e-learning modules in Indonesia and the Philippines, and training in climate analysis and vulnerability assessments in the C3D+ project. Previous projects included supporting Sida’s helpdesks by providing national overviews of climate change impacts as well as institutional and policy analysis and recommendations on areas to focus Swedish development cooperation.
Ben is currently finishing a PhD at King’s College London looking at the way that river restoration can deliver both ecological and social benefits. In particular there is a focus on the impact of catchment land-use on river status under the Water Framework Directive, and the effectiveness of urban restoration projects.
